An unexpected beginning

We found the breed we didn't know we were looking for.

What began as a search for a clean, healthy, non-shedding family dog became a lasting commitment to the Lagotto Romagnolo.

Their intelligence, warm spirit and versatility won us over. Laodicea grew from a desire to thoughtfully introduce more families to this remarkable ancient Italian breed—while helping it develop with confidence, sound health and wonderful temperaments.

A unique breeding program

A family home for every chapter.

We believe dogs do best when they are known, loved and included as members of a family. That is why our breeding dogs live in dedicated guardian homes rather than a traditional kennel.

They spend their lives with one family, returning to Laodicea only for whelping and the early weeks of raising puppies. Guardian families stay closely involved throughout—an approach that supports mom, puppies and the people who love them.

One dog. One family. A lifetime of belonging.
